Vegas Single Deck Blackjack

Vegas Single Deck Blackjack is played with one standard deck of 52 playing cards that is shuffled before each game.
The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a higher value hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going bust.
In Vegas Single Deck Blackjack:
You can only play one hand at a time.
The Dealer is dealt two cards, one face-down and one face-up.
Insurance is available.

Note:
Blackjack is when your hand contains an Ace and a card with a value of ten. It is the strongest hand in Vegas Single Deck Blackjack, and automatically Stands. It cannot be beaten, only matched.

Important:
Malfunctions void all plays and pays.

Payout Schedule

Winning hands in Vegas Single Deck Blackjack pay out as follows:
If you win with a Blackjack you are paid out at odds of 3:2 on your original bet.

Example:
You bet 20 credits and win with a Blackjack. You win 30 credits plus your original bet amount.
The odds on a Blackjack are 3:2. Your total win amount is 30 credits + 20 credits = 50 credits.

Win Formula:
Bet: 20 credits
Win: One-and-a-half times your original bet amount, plus your original bet.
Calculation: 3 / 2 = 1 ½ x 20 original bet credits = 30 credits + 20 original bet credits = 50 credits

Note:
One-and-a-half is calculated by dividing 3 by 2.
If you have a winning hand but not a Blackjack, you are paid out at odds of 1:1 on your original bet.

Example:
You bet 10 credits and win a hand. You win 10 credits plus your original bet amount.
The odds on a standard win are 1:1. Your total win amount is 10 credits + 10 credits = 20 credits.

Win Formula:
Bet: 10 credits
Win: One times your original bet amount, plus your original bet.
Calculation: 1 / 1 = 1 x 10 original bet credits = 10 credits + 10 original bet credits = 20 credits

Note:
One is calculated by dividing 1 by 1.
If you lose against a Dealer’s Blackjack and have taken insurance, you are paid out at odds of 2:1 on your Insurance bet.

Example:
You bet 10 credits and take insurance on the Dealer getting a Blackjack. Your Insurance bet costs half your original bet amount, so your Insurance bet is 5 credits.
The Dealer wins with a Blackjack. You receive 10 credits from your Insurance bet, as an Insurance bet pays out at odds of 2:1, plus your original Insurance bet amount. You lose your original bet amount.
Your total payout amount is 5 Insurance bet credits + 10 credits = 15 credits.

Win Formula:
Insurance Bet: 5 credits
Payout: Two times Insurance bet amount plus original Insurance bet amount.
Calculation: 2 / 1 = 2 x 5 Insurance bet credits = 10 credits + 5 Insurance bet credits = 15 credits

Note:
Two is calculated by dividing 2 by 1.
If your hand and the Dealer's hand tie, it is a Push. Your original bet amount is returned to you.
If your hand and the Dealer’s hand tie with Blackjack your original bet amount is returned to you.

Example:

You bet 10 credits and your hand and the Dealer’s hand tie.
The Dealer wins on all ties, except a tied Blackjack. You lose your original bet amount.
You bet 10 credits and your hand and the Dealer’s hand tie with a Blackjack.
Your original bet amount of 10 credits is returned to you.

Important:
Malfunctions void all plays and pays.
